一個人確實是一座城市；
而對詩人來說，除事物之外別無思想。

穿過高架橋與快速道路，
視線被整齊的廠房線條、與交錯的工業管線佔據。
歡迎漫遊者來到「現代脈動」區，這裡是高雄轉型的引擎，
冷峻、高效且充滿未來的秩序感。
Williams 的風格直率且不拘一格，是現代主義的先驅之一。
他相信意義應該由具體事物呈現，
而正是在楠梓、仁武、岡山與路竹複雜的幾何構造中，
我們得以一窺人類自我迭代的雄心。
高雄的水泥叢林中，
鋼筋與精密晶圓廠，以及如蛟龍般蜿蜒的快速道路
交織出現代獨有的幾何美學，
也寫下城市轉型的起點。

個人的記憶、情感與感官體驗，就像城市裡錯綜複雜的街道與建築。
Williams 透過描寫一座具體的城市來描寫整個人類的普遍心靈。
正如同楠梓與岡山的工業景觀，在鋼鐵與線條的交錯中，
可以聽見只屬於二十一世紀的律動。
規律的嗡鳴聲不是死氣沉沉的都市白噪音，
那是文明與城市不斷進化的心跳聲。
